Getting a Birth Certificate for new born baby and attesting it in Abu Dhabi, UAE is not a complected process.
Within a day or two after the birth of the baby, the hospital sill issue a form named “Live Birth Notification”. This will be based on the information we provide on their application form. We will have to provide copies of both the parent’s passport with the visa page, both the parents Emirates ID and copy of marriage certificate attested by the UAE authority. This is NOT a birth certificate.
We have to take this form to the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi for getting the Birth Certificate. Documents to be provided include the original “Live Birth Notification” provided by the hospital, copies of both the parent’s passport with the visa pages, both the parents Emirates ID and copy of marriage certificate attested by the UAE authority. In order for them to verify, we will have to show the originals documents too. It will be better to get 2 copies of Birth Certificate in English and one in Arabic. The charges is AED 50 per copy. They do not except cash. Visa or MasterCard is required. Location: Health Authority, in the area behind Carrefour in Airport Road.
To attest the Birth Certificates take then to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The best place to go will be the Ministry of Foreign Affairs office in the ground floor of Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi. You may purchase an e-dirhan cards from their office, or use MasterCard to pay the AED 150 charge per copy to be attested.
